Message from Coordinator (Department of Agriculture)
It gives me immense pleasure to write a few words from the Desk of the Department Head.
We believe education is not just acquiring theoretical knowledge but also making a change in skill and attitude as well. Our well-managed peaceful environment is most favorable for real learning and keeps our students fully focused on their studies. We are truly much more than just a place to learn. We give students unrivaled guidance along with great chances to help them to become responsible citizens and future entrepreneurs as well.
The population of Nepal is increasing day by day and land is limited so enhancing productivity on existing land is the only sustainable way to feed ever growing population. Therefore agriculture education is most necessary to ensure food security in the future. For developing countries like Nepal where the majority of farmers are involved in subsistence farming, agriculture education is key for socioeconomic growth and national prosperity. The diploma in agriculture is 3 years course designed to develop skilled manpower in agriculture and JKPI is one of the best options to pursue the DAG course as we have a team of highly qualified, young, energetic, and experienced faculty members who are dedicated nurturing the intellectual and personal growth of our students and plenty of land for practical.
